Ode to the Z-Axis, Plakias, CreteIt’s not easy to appreciate the sheet flatness of the wall. It feels kind of desperate when you first approach it.

Biggest chipping in the worldOk this is one of the routes which leaves you with trembling feet and a stupid smile on your face when you clip the anchors. Exhilarating and entirely unexpected moves
I took a series of photos of Andreas redpointing it and had lot of trouble to decide which photo to upload. I have chosen the least likely of the series (ignoring several technical/ composition no-no’s like the chopped climbers head, the overexposed upper part etc)
The reason why I have chosen this shot is to save a friends onsight attempt since he checks these pages and the most exiting move of the route is really unorthodox and huge giveaway ( I don’t want to spoil it for him:)
The other reason is that the closer shots do not depict the features of the whole wall and what it really is. The biggest and probably the oldest chipping in the world:) A man made half finished crack on an abandoned ancient quarry from 2 century BC!!!
Screw chipped holds! Here you got a whole chipped route and one that’s 2000 years old :)

A bit of "Chemistry"Weather is warming fast. It was time to take on a old favorite of Mikri Varasova. Nikos getting a taste of “Chemea” (Chemistry). Brilliant route and probably one of the bigger sandbags in Athens!

Me on StavrakasKinda heavy post processing on this one with brutal level/ contrast adjustment on selective parts
of the picture, saturation decrease and cropping.
Not really my style and I am yet undicided if it looks good or not.
Thanks to Nikos for taking this picture.

Aron AronAntonis moving "Aron Aron" on the crux of the homonymous route at Lastoudrema, Athens, Greece
Latsoudorema (aka Iera Odos) is no doubt the most popular sport crag in Athens for this winter and not without a reason. Nice quite location, high temperatures and most importantly plenty of quality routes at all grades.

The North Wall of AstrakaWe hiked all day in the fog and found this camping spot just before nightfall. When we arrived although we knew we were close to the 500meters walls of Astraka, we could not see any of it. With the first light I opened the door of my tent and faced the sheer might of the North Astraka walls...Photo taken at Mt Tymfi , North Pindus Ridge, Greece (yeah Greece..)

RottenThis is what happens when you use carbon steel instead of stainless at crags near the sea. Note also this is the actual angle of the hanger as seen be the photographer. It is not rotated 90 degrees
