Shannon crankin' at Lost Rocks

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Shannon crankin' at Lost Rocks

I belive this problem was a really juggy and cool slanting crack with a reachy top out. To make this last reach Shannon really had to lock it off. At the time this picture was taken you can see the landing was nice fluffy sand, but the last time I went back it was nothing but jagged rocks, bummer.

Hanging out with Darth Maul

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Hanging out with Darth Maul

This is me at the lip on Darth Maul in the Star Wars area of Leavenworth. A really classic problem that kind of climbs like the Iron Man Traverse.

Hangin out at the lip of yet another steep RRG route

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Hangin out at the lip of yet another steep RRG route

The Red is so awesome. I am pretty sure this is Seek the Truth, but whatever it was it was sweeeet. It seems every route at the Red is steep fun and juggy, what more could you ask for?

Nate working Chain

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Nate working Chain

This is Nate working the bottom crux of Chain Reaction. I thought that this shot was kind of cool because you always see people at the lip on Chain, even though the technical crux comes here; working up the arete.

Jesse Working Black Mark in Squamish

Average Rating = 3.40/5 Jesse Working Black Mark in Squamish

This is one of the many fun V4s in the forest. Layback up some sloping basalt dike holds, stick the finger bucket and finish on jugs.

Jesse

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Jesse "climbing" in the Gunks

More like spelunking maybe. This is my brother Jesse showing off the impeccable technique that made him famous searching for an anchor to rappel from in the Gunks.

Nate streching on the Hulk at Joes

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Nate streching on the Hulk at Joes

Now I have gotten shut down on two classic Hulks! Here and in Bishop, although I think this one is a little stiffer. The undercling slot Nate is reaching for is really small. The unlikely combination of long arms and really small fingers would help a lot.

In Oregon We Rust at Rattlesnake, OR

Average Rating = 3.00/5 In Oregon We Rust at Rattlesnake, OR

This is a shot by Alex (godfreyalex) of me on a fun route at Rattlesnake. This line is located on the right side of a little ampitheater with, let me say "interesting acoustic properites." Sounds that you may not want to be heard tend to reverberate and get amplified here.... Nate, you know what I am talking about! HaHaHa, you will NEVER live it down!

Jesse swinging between huecos at Joes

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Jesse swinging between huecos at Joes

I love huecos, and this small face has a few nice ones on it. I also love short approaches, and this is an easy pads toss away from the road.

Jesse styling across a warmup traverse in LCC

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Jesse styling across a warmup traverse in LCC

This face is really cool, even though it has a bunch of drill holes in it. This traveres goes across the bottom from right to left.

Just a little short.

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Just a little short.

This is kinda the crux of a traveres in Little Cottonwood Canyon. There are a bunch of those drilled holes which makes for a good warm up.

Average Rating = 0.00/5 "I wish this would stop bleeding so I can climb"

This is Nate pondering his manlgled hands in Bishop. We had just come from a wet, but fun, trip to Joshua Tree and our fingers were pretty much toasted before we even got to the Happys. We climbed anyways of course and this was the result. Definately worth it.

Staying cool at Joes

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Staying cool at Joes

This is my brother Jesse working on the arete of Neanderthal Man at the Warm Up Area of Joes. It is a fun line with a little of a squeeze job exit between the boulders that form the cave.

Me on a fun unnamed problem

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Me on a fun unnamed problem

Once you figure out the foot beta this one is pretty easy. I had to pose for Nick's camera on the start because I really like the rock. It is a nice solid basalt with a cool red-orange tint.

Me on Tendons Give

Average Rating = 3.20/5 Me on Tendons Give

This is a really sweet problem behind Camp 4. I never got much farther than this, but it was still fun. Pretty steep and juggy for granite. I like how the sun highlights my beard back when it was in its prime.

Nick in the new garden

Average Rating = 2.50/5 Nick in the new garden

This is Nick on a fun problem in the new garden. Starts off with a big reach on jugs and then finishes with a big reach on crimps to the lip. The sketchy landing keeps things interesting.
