Doulo, struggling but fighting....My poor companion, Doulo, was struggling hard on the last two or three hundred meters before the summit of Mt. Blanc. It was his highest peak yet, after accomplishing Rainier. Just to show that Mt Blanc shouldn't be taken lightly, our faces experienced harsh wind burn and frostbite, Doulo had it the worst. Nonetheless he was a good sport, summitted and had a few beers at the bottom.

Le DruThis picture was taken at the same time as my picture of L'Aiguille Verte. I must say on top of L'Aiguille Verte really gives you a good vantage point to check the peaks and some great views. Too bad for the crowd of climbers that overrun it. Either way, this peak is a long term goal of mine... one day....

Beginning of L'Aiguille de l'MThe weather was not great, but we were not the only ones on this route. An hour or two after this shot was taken, the weather got worse and hail hit us hard for about 20 min. Nonetheless, had a sweet sweet time on the rock.

Approach to L'Aiguille de L'MThis picture is of the first close up view of L'Aiguille de L'M we had during the approach. This climb was one of my first multi-pitch trad experiences, and I guess this view got my adrenaline going, seemed like a hot peak, and it is.

Myself and le Mont BlancThis picture was taken by my partner Pikey when we stopped for a quick brake at the emergency refuge below the Mt. Blanc. This was my first attempt and success, and it was a definite battle. I had never been at such altitudes and it played a toll on my performance. Either way, great experience, i was 18 leading the climb and fell in love with the massif.

Yann on lead, top of first pitchBeautiful day to go climbing, this picture is of myself finishing the first pitch (if you can see me, i'm tiny in the pic) of raubenheimer special. Best part is that since we always go doubles, we had a sweet rappel down.

Jeff going over the cruxWe saw this route, and thought, man that looks awesome. And it was. There seemed to be plenty of options climbing this route, making all the more enjoyable when you do it a couple times. This picture is of my climbing partner Jeff moving over the crux, and i'll add, he did so very smoothly. way to go jeff!
p.s. it was unclear what route this was, we believe it was cc
