Ivor leading Muesli (Boulder Bridge)

Average Rating = 3.67/5 Ivor leading Muesli (Boulder Bridge)

I took this pic of Ivor leading Muesli in low light. Using agfa 100asa film, on a 1/30th shutter speed, and just resting my arms on a ledge halfway up a face (solo), so it's amazing it's not all blurry.

Adam Clay leading Resurrection

Average Rating = 3.80/5 Adam Clay leading Resurrection

Nice and scary route with no pro until 2 metres after the crux! First placement is in the crack you can see just above me at about 6-7metres above a very rocky base/landing.

Quang contemplating his next crimp while enjoying 'The Company of Lovers'

Average Rating = 3.29/5 Quang contemplating his next crimp while enjoying 'The Company of Lovers'

The Company of Lovers is a nice warm up climb graded 19, (5.10b) at the Buttress, Morialta Falls. The start has a nice heel hook move to gain some bigger holds before moving on to crimps.

Ivor testing out a BD .4 cam on 'Gorilla My Deams Direct Start'

Average Rating = 2.25/5 Ivor testing out a BD .4 cam on 'Gorilla My Deams Direct Start'

Ivor wasn't sure if the .4 cam would hold on this route, so he thought the best thing to do would be to fall on it. It did hold, but he tested it again a few minutes later, just to make sure it was really safe, before actually finishing the route. Strictly a sport route, this route has 3 bolts, but the placement of the cam makes dropping from near the top just that little bit less painful.

Quang Doan on Muldoon

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Quang Doan on Muldoon

This is a picture of my climbing friend Quang on a classic route at Arapiles called Muldoon. We climbed this route 2 hours after it stopped raining (it had rained non-stop for the previous 36 hours) so many of the holds were still very wet, or submerged, which made it even more "fun"

Plexas, a scary grade 16 lead.

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Plexas, a scary grade 16 lead.

This is a pic of me on Plexas 16 (18m). The photo was taken last year when I was top roping it, but last night I lead it trad for the first time, and it was scary- no pro until the point I am at in the pic, then heave up over the block and climb another 5m before the next piece. There's no trick with the pic, it's as high as it looks. It seemed harder than 16, but I guess a lack of pro will do that to you.

Adam Clay sequence on Cutloose

Average Rating = 3.75/5 Adam Clay sequence on Cutloose

This series of pictures was taken at the end of a long hot day (37 degrees celcius) of climbing. The route was top roped, as to lead it would have been suicidal in the circumstances. Photos taken by Andy Holmes, reproduced with permission.

Adam Clay on 'Mad Germans By Torchlight'

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Adam Clay on 'Mad Germans By Torchlight'

This is a climb in Adelaide South Australia that we have tentatively called 'Mad Germans By Torchlight' after a visiting German friend mistakenly climbed the wall between the arete of Eternal Damnation and the corner of Lord's Prayer at Far Crag. He climbed it in darkness, so we had to shine torches up to help him see the moves. The climb is not written up anywhere, so we are currently looking for previous ascents, and names. Graded at about 21/22 Ewbank. Photo from Adam Clay's personal collection.

Average Rating = 4.75/5 Me onsighting Kachoong, Yay!

I had been wanting to climb Kachoong for five years, but never got up the courage. Well I finally sucked it up and after waiting for my photographer to get set headed up... what an awesome climb! Do it if you get the chance, it's great fun! :)

The view

Average Rating = 4.00/5 The view

I love Tasmania, and this view shows exactly why... what a sight to rise to in the morning - even if it was at 5.30 am.
