Right Face!

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Right Face!

That's me, heading up the right-most face climb. Holds are thin, but generally solid, except for an occaisional hold that has worked itself free due to the heavy moisture this wall gets.

The Needles Group Photo

Average Rating = 0.00/5 The Needles Group Photo

Great view of The Needles from the road that passes below it, in the valley. Nice camping, down a dirt road by a stream.

2nd Pitch of Zig Zag

Average Rating = 0.00/5 2nd Pitch of Zig Zag

Don, on the 2nd pitch of Zig Zag, looking back at his belayer (tied-in next to me). You can also see the right end of the overhang one must negotiate when doing Undercover.

Snag Buttress Anchors

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Snag Buttress Anchors

Don & I at the anchors that serve Zig Zag, Under Cover, Where Eagles Dare, and probably a few other routes. Bring a 60m rope to reach the anchors at the top of the first pitch. And TIE A KNOT!!! Lake Erie is in the background.

Reaching the Crux of the 5.10b

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Reaching the Crux of the 5.10b

The notorious Turtle Arete is just around the corner to the right. Start right belay a belay bolt. Have your belayer use it! Ground slopes off to ledge, and crux is just above where you see me climbing.

Pt. Dume - Climbing the Arete

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Pt. Dume - Climbing the Arete

This is the notorious Point Dume Arete, and a good representation of its exposure. A good first lead since its technically easy, but has a good amount of exposure. The bolts might be a little run-out for the newly-christened leader.
