G. McCay on I Hear My Train A Comin'!, 5.11c - Mt. Woodson, CAOne of Mt. Woodson's classic, if not signature, finger cracks! Whether boldly solo'd, top-roped, or lead this splitter is something to behold! Those lacking crack experience tend to over rate this climb.

A young Michael Paul below Rectum Roof, 1976A kid ahead of his time, Mike Paul made his mark early on in the bold Mission Gorge in Mission Trails Park, San Diego. "Werner Landry established this 5.10 slab to roof crack in 1975. In 1976 Michael Paul played hooky from high school to snag an early repeat. Everyone was impressed, until we'd all done it too." - pywiak

The Undertow BoulderLook for a trail that branches left (west), immediately off the trail that drops down on the left side of the Phd boulder. Descend and traverse back west along the slope following the least path of resistance. This will drop you on top of the Undertow boulder. A two bolt anchor is visible.

Glue Ups boulder '09"Frozen in Time" the Glue Ups still remain after nearly two decades of weather and two fires. Although, I would deem the wall unsafe to be climbed on (brittle holds and unsafe draws and anchors), the routes remain as a testament to the boldness of the enthusiasts back in the day. It was quite a site to behold then and still is to this day. A motivated crew could reestablish this outdoor gymnasium back into the craze of its day.
Park in the turn out before the yellow house on the south side of 67 and walk 130 paces with traffic to a cairn that marks the beginning of the trail (before the yellow street sign).

Nautod WallNautod ("broken") Wall rises about 20 meters above the jungle floor producing extreme overhanging routes (seen in the foreground), claimed to be the most difficult in the Phillipines, up to 5.13, and longer, steep moderate/difficult routes (5.8 - 5.11) on the main wall. Bamboo ladders are used to span the cave section below the main wall.

G. McCay clipped into the first boltPrecariously clipping the first bolt atop the five meter bamboo ladder creates the first crux on this part of the wall! At the moment there are no direct starts out of the cave below this section of the wall. Future climbers may unlink these routes but for now this primitive start is required to enjoy the limestone above.

Bob, I was in the '81/82 GWBC at Magnolia and Tony Yaniro succeeded on an overhanging finger crack sans shoes and taping his toes up! Could this be the same crack? Does it have a name? From:Bob van Belle To: G M Subject: Re: Yeah gary, that'd be the same crack, but in the first magnolia comp. '78, nobody (including bachar) did it. That photo of me on it was taken later that year. No name that i've ever heard...
