Lower Gorge accessTurn off Hwy 260 onto Construction yard on south side of road and west of RC Scout Ranch. This is alternate access to the gorge. A cattle guard and gate bar access to the dirt road by vehicle. You can park on pavement outside gate then walk to rough dirt road (on left/east) and walk to its end then take path to top of saddle (SE). Continue downhill from saddle to edge of gorge and look for notch. This takes you to lower gorge.

FA with Eric Rak and YC spottingThe FA was nerve wracking because of the slick rock near the top. The landing would be painful too. Grateful I stuck it.

Staring at cruxThe second pitch crux is a roof with a fist crack or layback on smooth face and a rounded edge. Took me a few trys to go for it. A bolt went in above the crux (after the crack).

Following NestorThe last pitch is bolted ground up. It is not really a sport route, per se. But the climbing and summit are worth it.

The routeThe upper part of the route is visible on the left skyline. The tree we ate lunch under is near the top. One last long pitch and we topped out. Geir and Steve are pondering the approach.
