Description:
One of the CLASSIC gritstone slab routes, that has lost little of its sting since its first ascent in 1948. The pocket halfway up takes good pro, but back it up. Start below the pocket, and climb up to it doing an odd sequence of mantles. Step delicately right (crux), and carefully friction up the slab to the finish.
