5 out of 5 stars Great views

Steep but fun climbing the whole way.

The 5.8 "chimney" turned out to be a squeeze that's more like caving than climbing. I had to go completely parallel to make it through. I didn't find it too scary since I wasn't going anywhere :) but making progress was slow.

3 out of 5 stars Did the first 2 pitches

Felt like a different type of climbing than the other routes in the area. Step across was a stretch for me. Good views.

4 out of 5 stars A little mediocre

but only compared to the other shining examples of excellent rock at the cliff. The step across is kind of neat. If this guy is 5.9, its next door neighbor is 5.11.

4 out of 5 stars did first two pitches

I've done the whole thing before, but the direct opened up and we quickly moved into position to do that route after only the first two pitches.
