Description:

Goes up the wide slab closest to the sign wall. Climb up to the ledge with a tree (ledge is about 2 feet wide for sitting on). Continue up the face to the left of the "pine tree" thingy and finish at the top belay and rappel off of the beefy tree back down the slab.

2 out of 5 stars easy way up...

...still test your holds, though- I tapped a large hold that appeared to be solid & it shifted; I thought it would stay in place & I had nowhere good to put it, so I was simply going to continue without using it. With no further disturbance, it crashed down the slab a few moments later.

Easy slab. The rock is very polished and with the no chalk rule it can get slippery. I did it free solo after work and hiked the blue trail back to the car.

0 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

It is fun, easy, nice way to get into solo-leading. There really wasn't a crux... There are two sections in the middle of the climb with considerable run-out. A bolt or two couldn't hurt in the middle sections... :) But, this isn't a veritcal assent for the most part, just a nice way to start soloing, and it has some great views of the rivers converging, and the Harpers Ferry historical town.

Witnessed by: None, did this solo.
