Description:

This is the leftmost layback crack on the Phantasia wall. 25 ft up you'll see a Rhododendron tree with an old piece of webbing on it. From here, the climbing is REALLY easy, minus loads of dirt to scramble and slip on as you find some roundabout way to the anchors - which consist of a bunch of old webbings wrapped around a bigger Rhododendron.

3 out of 5 stars easy warmup

on 6/6/09 I lead this and the old webbing on the rhodo at the top of the crack looked about 3 to six months old and the rhodos roots looked pretty good I used the webbing and rhodo to rap from and it held me I am about 170lbs including my gear. so it held for me but use caution when getting on it to rap it.

2 out of 5 stars My first trad experience.

This is a good climb to learn the basics of traditional climbing on. It's really easy and short, so everything should go slowly whether you're in shape and experienced or not at all. Pulling the lip and going for the anchors (which are old and sketchy looking) is somewhat hazardous as there's lots of dirt.

Not exactly a stimulating line to seek out, but a good place to warm up the trad experience.
