Definitely solid 13a I thought. 6 tries and fell on the two backs dyno on the send. It's a good route but just not my favorite of the trip. Great stone though and really punchy movement throughout to a redpoint crux that could be a heart breaker. Luckily I did it first go from the ground

Forget 12d, this may be one of the hardest 13a's anywhere. A style that I'm not too good at though. I don't understand what the big deal about the extension is... not great and totally out of character with the rest of the climb.

this is one of my favorites. I'm the most dynamically challenged climber ever!! this was a sweet send for me. good holds seperated by two semi-dynamic cruxes. and a little sketchy last run out sick!!
the second pitch blows...shitty rock!

this is solid 13a. in 93 there was a knee bar which is long been gone. many climbers say solid for the grade. classic line.

red point flash
Such an odd, ascent. I had tied into the route 1 time in 1991 but was out of shape and did not get back on it until the summer of 1993, I send it first try in 1993 with running beta from Matt Samat. So I gues that counts as a red point even though I didn't benefit at all from my first burn 2 years earlier. I also think the route is 5.12d. I think it defines the 5.12d grade. It very continuous, and lacks a serious crux. The more endurance you have the easier it will feel. Scott Fry used to call it 5.12b. That being said, it may be the best 12d in the U.S.
