Much better than its rep
Had held off from doing the top 2 pitches for a long time due to hearing how scary this was supposed to be. Firstly, I found 3 cams in the 2nd pitch plus the bolt meaning is was never more than 20-25' off gear. The 3rd pitch didn't feel 2 full grades easier. I'd say it's 5.4 if the 2nd is 5.5 and it was 115' solo. Excellent route - needed to experience the runouts

Lead First Pitch
Had fun leading first pitch. Will go back and do the rest after learning where the bolts were.

good varied P1, scary runout P2,3.
Lead P1, followed P2+3. Leader combined 2+3 w/ a 70 but I had to simul about 20 feet of P2 till he reached the anchors. I was about at the flakes you can see from the top of P1 that look vaguely like they might take some gear. Good stuff and my introduction to scary run-out slab at Stone. Can't say I'm thrilled at the idea of coming back to lead all three pitches. It wasn't hard but man, you would NOT want to blow it. P1=G, P2,3=R. Folks who poo-poo the R: think about what happens if you were to blow it right around that bolt on P2. Not sayin' it was hard to reach, but consequences of failure are high...

First Pitch Only
I must have left my scary, runout slab climbing hat at home because I just couldn't work up the courage for the second pitch. Pitch 1 was fun. Easy to protect with lots of places to rest. It also offers a much greater variety than the Arch.

First lead at Stone
Fun mix of lieback with pro and runout slab. I lead the first two pitches, and partner John led to the top on the third pitch.

Better than the Arch
This is really well protected. I liked it better than the Arch, because there was more variation in climbing movement.
