Ascent Notes for: The Long Climb - 5.8 Average Rating : 4.45/5

Climbed first pitch of Wong Climb then continued up the Long Climb. Switched leads and climbed in 4 pitches (only 3 belay stations.
Great crack on the first pitch, perfect ring locks on the seconed. I skipped the 5.8 unprotected face and went up right, under the arch and over it's roof at corner (sweet heel hook move). Probably 5.9 variation, but very fun.
My climbing partner was Andrew Hawley.

Excellent route. We did the first pitch of wong (highly recommended) and then we linked up to the long climb. Route finding was tricky. All in all a great route.

1st pitch of Wong then the rest of Long. I led pitches 2,4,5 and Kostas led the others. Instead of going out left up the slab on pitch 4, I went straight up from the belay up a nice easy crack. Why isn't this the normal route? It was more direct and fully protected.

switched leads with boulderk2. the mummy crack was exhausting.

Followed P1 of the Wong Climb, then led the rest of the way up the Long.

Got off route left on the last pitch for some added excitement.

Just the first 2 or 3 pitches before being rained off!! Scary-ass rappel in the pouring rain.
