4 out of 5 stars Back Flip

Fun variety of moves. I believe this route had a 4th bolt added which helps avoid the "rope behind the leg" thing.

3 out of 5 stars Tricky and a mental challenge

I agree with the last post, bolting seemed to be on purpose to get you commited.

4 out of 5 stars traverses are usually protected

Mattm, traverses on gear or bolts are usually protected by bolts around chest level or head level or above that. This one is not. One prolific bolter said, exact quote: This entire bolt scheme is pathetic. Every bolt should be moved down, and a new one added higher."

Folks on TR won't ever see the problem. And, the bolts look plenty innocent from the ground. Injuries are the proof, however.

Today I re-redpointed this, hanging a single biner on the 3rd bolt. This minimized fall distance compared to a quickdraw and kept the rope more stationary. The traverse wasn't spookey then; the rope didn't "follow" me as much as I moved left.

Great route! Nice movement.

3 out of 5 stars Ropework

The traverse near the top is where the rope MIGHT cause problems. It's no different than any other traverse you might see climbing though - just be aware of where your rope is when climbing!

5 out of 5 stars hard for a 9

the top of the problem near the crack is a little rough and hitting the anchors is tricky.
