I'm sure everyone knows it but the approach really sucks. I lead the full route but did it in two pitches. We used a 70M rope and still had some to spare after combining the first two pitches. There was one small section that seemed a little stiff but the holds were huge and the route will eat up as much pro as you want to throw at it. It is a fun route and is worth doing at least once. This is an excellent beginner route for those wanting a chance to climb pure trad. The views from the top of the buttress are beautiful.

Not sure if I climbed the Mummy. First pitch seemed harder than 5.5. Anyway, did something in 2 pitches. Still a lot of fun, whatever it was.

Awful hike in, didn't bring enough water, onsight attempt ended up in going off route 40 feet above a bogus nut, with no holds left, on an overhanging section of (at first) juggy incuts, leading to heavily lichen colored nubs. Ended up downclimbing the 4o feet back down and finding the correct route, but not before mild dehydration set in and an hour and a half setback. For all the cons, this climb was one of the best I have ever experienced. The exposure, runout, rock quality, and sheer fun of the thing more than made up for it all.

Onsight having never seen the Mummy really. Led a big 1st pitch about 60m up to a ledge with a horizontal gear belay. Led the 2nd pitch all the way to the top. Great climbing the whole way.

Im pretty sure I was climbing the mummy but took a finger crack variation on the first pitch which made the experience a bit more challenging. The hike out is abusive. I do not recommend going on a hot summer day.

first pitch was a little wet, but big feet the whole time. it is true about the gear: cracks are funky shaped on the inside and cams sit kinda funny. nothing big to worry about, though.

Did it in two pitches with a 5.8? steep finger crack variation on the first pitch.
