3 out of 5 stars Laybacking is fun

Followed my buddy. Funky start, unless you're tall.

3 out of 5 stars back for the redpoint

chose to warm up on this for my big day of trying the area easy classic 10s. Set a nut to protect the boulder problem and pulled through much easier than last time I tried it. Casual after that.

Lots of new rockfall at the base of the route since my previous visit gave me pause initially while I tried to figure out if some crucial holds/flakes had been obliterated. Looks like it all came down from the mess of breakdown at the top in the gully leading to the Upper Tier. Lots of loose rock up there - be careful people!

3 out of 5 stars More fun than hiking to the upper tier

The start requires some commitment but after you pull through you get a ledge to stand on to begin a 7ish section. There is an ok nut near the bottom to keep from decking if you blow it on the bouldery section and/or provide a point of aid if a follower can't make the move. The parallel crack just above is pretty cool for an oppositional hold and foot jam. I thought the gear options seemed a bit weird due to the irregular flaring cracks but I'll re-evaluate as I plan to lead it on my next visit.

Grading seems right; could be an easy boulder problem for those whose style favors the monkey moves or harder for those who don't or are short. The rest wasn't a total gimme as it had some pumpy stances.

4 out of 5 stars Great crack

Good protection, short, and can treat as first pitch and then climb on the upper tier.
