Def easier than 5.9, fun route though.

Yes, I think it is soft for a 5.9. More like 7ish.

If you're on the right side of the arete, it's much harder, and the left, easier. Kinda'a like 5.9 on the right, 5.6 on the left, and I s'pose it's about 7-ish if you're stradling the arete. Lot's of fun to be had, any way you go! My partner did it the more challenging way, I stayed further to the left to keep it managable, so I'll have to go with a 5.7 for the rating.

Good climb. Put a beginner on it to challenge them.

Definitely not a 5.9 as listed in the guidebook.
