I posted a while back mentioning the rusty pins at the top and now all of the bolts have been replaced as well as the pins. Thanks for the maintenance! On a side note, we climbed this route after already having our fingers take a beating on a few more Crowder's routes...this one is easy, but it HURTS those paddies! It's like angry sandpaper! :)
I had climbed this on toprope about a year ago, but I am clearly doing something wrong, there is no way I'd call this a 5.6 or 5.7. I'd say maybe 5.8. I stayed to the left of the bolts all the way up and avoided the arete, doing so made clipping the first 3 bolts easy, but getting to and clipping the 4th was kinda tricky, and from there to the shuts was definitely the hard part. The shuts being rusty wasn't nearly as troublesome as the fact that both are loose. Someone should definitely carry a wrench with them the next time they climb this one.
Also, I only clipped 4 bolts, so if there is a fifth, then I really did something wrong. :-)
