Ascent Notes for: King of Ging - 5.10b Average Rating : 3.22/5

There's a fairly wide swath that one can climb before the traverse up top. I'd put this above 10b unless going far right.
I've never felt particularly inspired by this climb - don't know why - but I like it more than gray streak.

This to me is a bit harder than grey streak, pumpy

I also tried this one several years back, I remember trying it several times. Got it first try today, it feels much easier now. :D

Fun climb

Mantled the jump start then pulled for the chains.

Screwed the onsight at the conclusion of a very hot and humid evening. I got suckered by the vast display of chalk and polished rock at the crux. I ended up using a hold that looked rarely used to fairly easily pull the crux. Oh well, I had fun sorting it out even with the false beta.

08/19/2009: Red point. Get the left foot up and out to balance on both feet when making the move past the crux.

Seems more than a 10b even for Gus Fruh area.

Gaining the ledge is fun

nice vertical crimp and balance - very typical of gus fruh climbing, somewhat unexiting compared with other routes in the vicinity
