I bailed out on lead the second pitch last time. Now I lead all three pitches.

I'm giving myself a flash because I lead P1& P3 and followed P2. So I can't have and never will have the onsight, oh well. The pro on P1 and P2 are a little sparse. I would have probably rated it a PG but that wasn't an option.

varied climbing, a bit of everything like the guide says

I went way into the chimney, and crawled through the hole instead of traversing on slopers. Very nice climb for its grade - different experience from most gunks climbs. Not much pro (none) in the first pitch chimney!

Led p1, p3

Great climb! A real chimney, a real bit of crack climbing, and then good ole overhanging jugs at the end. What more could you ask for?! Led P1 and p3

I guess you could call this a "chickenshit onsight." I jumped on this pitch without knowing what the guidebook said, having left it on the ground - it just looked like a really inviting pitch. And it really is great - one of the best pitches of 5.7 in the Gunks, and very G rated. It was good to get the first ascent experience, for sure.

So I took a hang before pulling the final exit moves from the overhang, because I was getting pretty pumped and uncertain about the commitment, but in hindsight I could easily have just gone for it. Once you gain the stance above the overhangs, the difficulties are over.
