Very nice long route...
I came on holidays, and I called the guys from "Arrivira" (http://www.aribira.com.br/english/climbing_in_rio.html) and they sent a guide to aid me with directions and equipment for the climb.
It has a beautiful view of the city, the lagoon, the sea and you can even see Corcovado!
The route has a sustained difficulty, around 5.9. Most of the moves (to not say all of them) are balance ones, so you don't need much upper strength (in fact, almost none), but lots of confidence and propper use of the foot-steps.
The rock is granite, which was highly abbrassive for me when one adds the sea wind to it.
Some places are very windy by the way. It can become stressfull.
Excellent route. I did it in like four pitches, and then ended up in the summit using the "via Ferrata" after finishing Italianos.

Beatifull climb. Two long pitches. Beatifull scenery. The grade is 5.9 but very solid. Classical climb in Rio.
