nice easy climb
i followed HJ on this climb (his second Gunks lead in many years) i thought it was a nice climb. easy, but nice. though dick williams rates it at 5.3 not 5.2 and i think his rating is accurate.

what a very cool "happy" climb
This climb is a pleasure all the way up. P1 is a wonderful corner, great for begining leaders. P2 is fun, with an easy roof. Great climb, I am sorry I didn't do this earlier.
There are other comments about sparse pro...I found pro everywhere. In fact, I protected the entire p1 with nuts and 1 or two cams.

N/A
Led both pitches. Dolgio as second. Nice climbing the whole way through. The second pitch begins just around the corner from the belay stance - nowhere near a 60 foot walk as indicated in g/book. Anchor at the wonderful large pine tree - shade and scent-sations. I was scared about the start of P2, hunkered into that chimney for security and found it a tight fit! A wonderful, full value, crux sequence for 5.3. I stuck the rope in the notch though, and that......sucked.
I did follow P1 last year, but P2 was new for me.

Quality climbing for the grade, but....
not the best choice for a new leader. Seems a bit difficult for the grade and pro gets sparse in spots. Even my more experienced second agreed it was a little heady for a new leader in spots. We only did P1 because it was getting near sunset.
Went back and lead p2 on 9/20.

Even a 5.2 at the Gunks is quality.

More like Moderate V
Thought the crux was a bit hard for the grade, but could've just been my lead head (or lack thereof) so early in the season. Nice manky peace-of-mind ring (probably from the first ascent) about 3/4 of the way up P1.

So-so climb, great experience
This was our last climb on my second Gunks trip. Ran up the first pitch as light rain started and thunder boomed. By the time we were set up for the second pitch, weather was already blowing over. During second pitch, the sun broke through the clouds and a huge, brilliant double rainbow appeared in the valley below. The perfect end to a perfect trip.
