I believe that the variation you describe is actually a climb called "Corona."

fun climbing through a couple of smaller-than-they-look roofs... both the 5.9 and 10c cruxes are protected by bolts; the traditionally protected climbing is no harder than 5.7

The roof was a lot of fun and no more difficult than the grade suggests, but the pro is a tad dicey. The bolt is so so. A couple of sideway nut placements might make one feel a little better. A fun move for sure. The 2nd roof is more in the less desirable rock higher up, otherwise more of a 5.8 feel I thought. This is some of the better rock in Red Rocks in my opinion. With Brad from Calgary.

second 10c trad ever for me and the 1st roof spanked me. spanked me hard. but it was good....

interesting route- the crux pitch is stout, but protected nicely by a bolt. watch the rope, though- the nature of the crux can cause some problems with it.
