Great climb, ran first two pitches together (must do!). The '5.8' start would be no harder than 5.6 at the gunks, and the 'step around the corner' described in the guidebook is not tenuous... at all. Fantastic climbing, don't be intimidated by the start if you're a 5.6/5.7 leader.

What a great first lead. Awesome stances, good gear, easy climbing. Got a little stuck in the alcove at the start of P3, but fun nonetheless....
