I was teaching a "friend" to lead belay on this one, so I'm glad it was an uneventful route so I didn't have to worry.

Getting that first bolt on my first lead climb was really thrilling, since that was the toughest part of the route. The rest was a little anticlimactic, but far from boring.

This route would be a nice free solo. A tad bland for a rope.

Not an enjoyable route really. Getting to the first bolt is the toughest although you can skip the hard part if you go to the right of the first bolt instead of directly up or a little left of it. Beyond first bolt the route is boring and easy. It is slightly runout actually but it is ok b/c the route is a cakewalk after bolt 1. One biner at the top is wearing thin. I would have replaced it but you need a wrench to unscrew the bolt from its setting in the wall and A) I didnt have a wrench, B) I havent set bolts before and would not be comfortable just totally removing it without an expert opinion. Overall, not a great route. Not even as enjoyable as monkey mayhem which is easy but long and has a better view.

Someone should replace it... I would have, but as a poor college student I don't just go leaving biners around on climbs. On a positive note, the view of the park is beautiful from the top of the climb.

The first couple of moves are the hardest and then after the first bolt the route is cruiser. A great view up the creek from the top, take a camera or you'll have to bring it up on lap two like I did.
