Though the crux on 1P was definitely a little balancy with PG pro, not G.

Agreed the crux section is not G. I sort of felt I was in groundfall zone even as I began the crux. No pro for the second any time soon after either, so not a good route to take up a beginner on, as the traverse is pretty smeary. The second pitch had an alpine flair....(read that as: dirty and chossy)

There was a huge log in the gully on the second pitch. The log came crashing down to the ground. fortunately it didn't hit anyone.

P1 was fun, although it's not g rated. While the moves are all there, there is no gear for several feet during and after the crux moves.

P2...I have no idea where I was supposed to go. It was one big choss pile. All the rock looked rotten and loose. I took the least path of resistance and felt like a gardener.

dirty first pitch, great second pitch

but apparently doesn't get much traffic. The route is fairly obvious because everything else is heavy with lichen. In fact, the route itself has quite a bit of lichen on it, compared to the polished classics. And, escaping to the top, rather than rapping after P2, turns into a total bushwack, despite the "old line" shown in Grey Dick. Other than that, it's a fun climb with interesting and challenging moves, especially on P2.

definitely do the 2nd pitch, it makes the 1st one worthit
