5 out of 5 stars A spire a world apart

From the top of Cathedral Peak I saw Eichorn Pinnacle and felt inspired to free solo it. A fantastic climb, but be careful, as the downclimb is a little unnerving.

5 out of 5 stars Yup, pretty airy!

You gotta see this thing! The crux is traversing away from the belay, after that it just goes. The rap anchor has one good bolt and some old school mank, but it's fine.

3 out of 5 stars Nice picture shot

Great easy finish for the day. Followed JG. I put PG13 just b/c I'd think there is some sections a new 5.6 leader may not feel comfortable: esp. the hand traverse and exposure.

4 out of 5 stars Swung Leads

Make sure you end the traverse pitch in the right place. It is not a very good stance, so don't be looking for a comfy ledge. Then up the orange band of rock to the top. The second pitch is much longer than it looks from the first belay.

0 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Couldn't pass it up on the way back from Cathedral SE Buttress. Well worth the effort and (little) time. I was so high from the day that I hiked off and left some gear. Super smooth descent along Budd Creek.
