Description:
Short boulder problem start (5.9) leads to wonderful layback crack (5.7). Can use shuts above Gumfighter as belay/rap. Some guidebooks show a second pitch continuing up the Upper Tier. This is also known as Amputee.

Short and sweet
Excellent layback just above a boulder start that is harder for us short people than the book describes. Make sure your second is able to clean the route because cleaning the route on rappel, then trying to pull your rope is not a good idea. If you're lucky it won't get stuck, but if it does, you have to climb all the way up to get it out of a nasty little flake/crack.
