FionaHasFun's Logbook (4 ascents)

The crux of the climb is actually at the beginning. Getting started is difficult for some because the crack starts about four feet above the ground. Jamming both hands and a foot in was how I started it, but once I was on it, it was hand over hand and foot over foot. Fairly easy; a fun climb.

An awesome climb, difficult if you don't have much finger strength...be prepared to smear quite a bit. My hands were tore up because the holds were sharp.

First time climbing on natural rock, and an amazing experience. This gave me trouble the first time up, right under the roof. Couldn't unclip from my cam and traverse, so I just went down. The second time, I unclipped from the first cam and tried to dino up for my hold (not a very large one, just a few inches) and lost my footing...swung out about five, six feet to the second cam. My first fall! It was exhilarating...and shook me up a bit. I moved back over, and finished the route, having no problems once I finished the traverse (which was still fun).

Awesome! My first crack climb, and well worth the six hour trip. Also the first time I used chalk, and I can definitely understand the appeal!
