3 out of 5 stars From the darkness it comes...

Fun/Classic for the area. Sustained up to about the midpoint, with a juggy slab topout. Fun!

5 out of 5 stars Battle of the Bulge..

My personal favorite at Medicine Wall, this route is consistant and continuous. It's not typical of the normal boulder/ledge/boulder/ledge climbing in the area. Great training for different styles including Overhang, laybacks, cracks, and slab, all in about 45 to 50 feet. Great rock quality and fall out is clean.

3 out of 5 stars Prototype Proper..

It's nice and long for the area. On your feet the whole way, sans the 2-bulge start; Once you hit the horizontal chimney after that, the face climbing is the best part. Start to head right as you go up after the 4th bolt. Love the movement from the 3rd bolt on.

4 out of 5 stars Classic and Consistant.

Consistant from top to bottom with a large blank section, creating a large crux reach to a good 2-finger slot. But accurancy is key, it's very thin-- so it's hard to be dynamic to it. Great Core-and-Feet move. Great for shorter climbers if you have the right beta!

3 out of 5 stars Barenaked Bowlegged..

First time I tried this route was a few weeks ago. LOVED the crux, and I'm a shorty. (I'm about 5' 8".) The rock provides great technical options, and relies on great foot placement to provide balance for a nice left arm lock-off to a ledgy sloping dish (matchable), then you have good feet to stand into a hueco bigger than a pumpkin with a BOMBER rim all around it for a good rest and clipping stance. Fun V1 to anchors. One of the best routes at Medicine Wall.

4 out of 5 stars Smokin' Monkey..

Every clip is right handed, so just put your draws on your right. no need for more than one lefty. (Possible safety or or top anchor.) Can climb past the left hand two-finger pocket at the top to a matching right hand. Bring your feet up for a jug-top-out clip stance. This is always in my circuit, definately a Reimer's must.
