5 out of 5 stars Ouch, my hands...

Unlike Taylors Falls where the rock is worn down and chalked, this area has sharp rock and moss on occasion. Taping up hands would be a good idea. It's nice to see a finger crack with some moss and a little plant growing out of it...and even nicer that those who have climbed it didn't clean it out. We did the 5.8- Arrow Direct variation at the end. I think a solid 5.7 if we had done the ramp.

3 out of 5 stars Alternative out

We used this to climb out of the Soutern Ramparts at Palisade. Was a little tricker than I thought a 5.7 would be. Like everyone else said, yes, the rocks at the top are really annoying. Use caution for the folks belaying from below.

5 out of 5 stars Hello Lake!

Beautiful route over Superior with a lot of variety. Off-widths are tiring. Fantastic 2nd pitch. I felt like it was harder than 5.8, but maybe it just seemed that way because of the exposure in parts.

5 out of 5 stars Jam fun

Just put your hands in the crack and go. It gets tight on the ledge above the first crack.

5 out of 5 stars Corner puzzle

Getting into the corner, and then getting out can be tricky. The finger locks are there, but can be sparse. Really fun. My first 5.9 outside.

4 out of 5 stars GRRrrr!

Lead this and gear placements were there. Placed a 5 cam in the crack through the overhang! Enjoyable and the rock is great. I don't think Delicate Dihedral gets a lot of climbers.

4 out of 5 stars Short, Sweet, Shart

For a short route there are a lot of different moves. Liebacking a short way, pulling around an overhang, finger holds, other weird holds. My lead had some problems finding good pro under the overhang, but grunted through. If you know what the last word in this header means, you know what else happened...

4 out of 5 stars First time lead with bonus nut

My first time on the sharp end. Actually pink pointed and felt comfortable throughout. We found a nut; treasure. I would recommend it as a first lead.

5 out of 5 stars Solid corner climb

An enjoyable corner climb with some trickery here and there.

4 out of 5 stars Weeee!!

Crux is at the top with a jam. I'm a beginner with using hand jams and getting around roofs, so this was perfect practice.
