3 out of 5 stars My friends first aid pitches

After climbing 3 walls my friend was getting sick of just jugging and cleaning for me. So we took a rest day and climbed the aid pitches on this route and then rapped out. The aid pitches are great for beginners.

4 out of 5 stars Good freeclimbing

the fifth pitch is excellent, perfect patina hands in a corner. A killer 5.10 pitch. The rest of the route is worth doing just for this pitch.

4 out of 5 stars Great route for early fall

The route is shaded all day, it made climbing it perfect with a long sleeve shirt. can easily be done in a day. It goes really fast due to all the fixed gear on it. On last pitch the "crux" placement before the last hook move. forget about a large tricam, just use an offset micro cam just below it.

3 out of 5 stars Climbed the route and thought the rock quality was fine.

The rock was a little loose in places, maybe a bit grainy in others due to low traffic. But all in all is a fine substitute to the bolt ladder sinocranium. The routes more to the north on the west face have better rock with great gear belays. The west face of steinfells would be awesome if it ever got the traffic.

4 out of 5 stars New anchors have been put in.

All pitch anchors have been retrobolted as well as the rappell anchors below the duck. Fun route, my first Tower route and i got to lead the crux pitches and had a blast. The pin scars a few moves into pitch 3 are getting really blown out. Take some larger tri-cams or be prepared to stack angle irons.

4 out of 5 stars great route

Simulclimbed the route with a 30 meter rope. Worked out well with great weather on the summit. Not much gear is needed for the route. There is a lot of pitons and fixed gear along the way.
