Great for my first tower in Sedona, but I hate small chimneys with a rope on my back!

Nice bouldery start, and you get some good slings girth-hitched around big blocks. Thats great 'cause I don't think those button heads will hold much, or any kind of fall. God a GREAT summit! Be sure to check out my rock pile ontop, no summit register so I got creative.

Great route! Nice runout on third pitch, not so bad if you don't mind old bolts. Topo in RCAZ is way wrong around the middle of the climb, but it goes - easy too! long chimney pitch and the 5.7 finish crux is at the start of the last pitch. Easy! Love it but hate pulling the rops down it.

The first pitch was a little dissapointing.

My buddy Ryan and I decided to solo the first 30' and belay from there to help tame the nasty rope drag I could see comming.

I would like to say now that I really hate old rusty pitons, and would never, ever want to clip one.

But I did.

Three in fact for the next belay on a little one person ledge.

The roof was nice, really classic and easy, except for that airy first move! Has a sweet hanging belay at the end too.

I set it low as I should have with no good upward pull pro. I hung there maybe 100' off the deck just watching the clouds roll by.

Then Ryan started taking whippers. The first one he lost his sun glasses too! About 20' that one was.

He was hanging below me off the first piece he placed, a BD HEX #6. Three times he fell on this piece untill I took the sharp end to stop him from throwing me around.

Nice and easy third pitch too! The pro just sinks right in, a few nuts and hex's and your good! Even another one of those pitons we talked about!

It's really a juggy crack from the start, just lay back and don't worry, there REALLY IS a big jug under that roof up there! And then past the tree it's a walk to the summit.

Oh yea, and then the sun went down! Got to watch it set from the summit.

Have I said how much fun rappelling in the dark is without a head lamp? And only one rope!!!

This was a sweat crack! Just big enough for half my body at the start. A full 100' too! Nothin great about the route except the third pitch. The jug on the roof really gives it away though.

I loved this route, mostly wet all over, but the holds were all chalked to hell so I could see my path. Nice hand jams at the top kept the pump away!
