Ascent Note
My partner got off route and climbed to the bolts on the left. I had a good time doing a lower/travers then protecting the lead to a point where I could anchor and lower to clean the gear so his travers would be safe. Those flakes sure sound hollow!

Ascent Note
The book says pro to 7". Good thing it was a little smaller than that and i had a #4.5 camalot. It made the second pitch easier. My partner took his first lead fall on the slabby stuff at the top of pitch 2 off to the right. No biggy. Got down to our packs just in time to turn on my headlamp. It was pitch dark 2 minutes later. That could have been epic if we got slowed by something.

Ascent Note
Couldn't find a climbing partner so I used this as a chance to rope solo. Good routes for practicing this.

Ascent Note
Can't remember the exact date but it was spring. Wasn't sure where the route went. It harder than rated but maybe just because it the rock was a bit dirty and we weren't sure of the route. We rapped down leaving nuts because the snow was too deep to hike down. Good practice since I don't get to rap off of climbs on my own gear very often.

Ascent Note
Great climb with a really cool exposed crux. I've followed this and then lead it. This is a Donner classic.

Me and 3 friends (not cams). Lots of scrambling to get to the climb and to get down.

Ascent Note
I can't remember the date but I remember the climb well. My partner chickened out on the first 2 pitches so I got to lead them. The offwidth is cool (read "icky"). It was my first real exposure.

Ascent Note
Another climb I did a long time ago by I wanted to put my name on the list. This one was epic: One of our team of three had to pee really bad and some bozos with a party of 6 on Bear's Reach wouldn't let us climb the last pitch nest to them (it's like 5.5?). I led that last pitch running but took the easy way off a t the top. Yesterday (11/24/02), I finally got back to the .8 at the top and it was cool if you don't want to show any style.
