Completed a winter ascent of Zenyatta Mondatta (god i hate the police) A really cool route to the left of the Zodiac. The climb is incredibly sustained, but I really dont feel that any pitch deserves an A4 rating. I would give the route an overall A3+ rating. The crux pitch is not that bad and many of the other A3 leads feel just as hard or harder. The crux pitches are definitely 8,10, 12. You can go pretty huge on every pitch, but you will probably come out alright if you do f&*@ up. Our team did a fair bit of nailing and heading. First time ever heaing on lead yehaww. Baby angles or sawed offs are key. Also this is a perfect winter wall, the drips were falling 30 feet behind us, but beware of the east ledges in winter. Defintely be ready for sketchy sh&%. Classic route with great partners would definitely recommend this one.

Did it clean wasnt too bad. The free climbing was definitely the scary part for me.

Really historic route. There is some stellar pitches and then some absolutely chossy nightmares i.e the upper pitches of the black dihedral. We did a clean ascent, but pitches 2 and three have tons of heads. Also many sawed angles could be useful. Overall a pretty cool route if you want something thats not too hard yet off the beaten track.

cool route, do it clean and it is actually half way hard. Lots of C3. Probably the best aid line on el cap. It gets done alot for a reason.
