3 out of 5 stars What's a little water?

Enjoyable route, even with a little water on it. Holds are getting a bit on the loose side.

3 out of 5 stars An enjoyable warm up

Headed up this assuming it would be very straight forward, but was actually surprised when about halfway up I ran out of holds and needed to dodge right. Fun, easy warm up, a bit crumbly.

4 out of 5 stars Watch the left knee

Easily one of the most fun routes on the block due to the diverse climbing techniques used to reach the top. Watch your left knee when exiting the huecos, I transfered a significant amount of skin from my knee to the inside of my pant leg.

While the new Smith Rock book calls this a 5.10a, the majority of the climb is ~5.8. The crux is truly at the top, getting to the bolts.

I'm considering it as a RP since I TRed the route ahead of time.

4 out of 5 stars Good Variety

This route encorporates a variety of techniques making it highly enjoyable! Hung on the rope a little, not the best warm up route. Crux is making the first 2-3 moves.

4 out of 5 stars Too sketched to lead

jackhammering legs below the overhang prevented a succesful lead. Completed the route on TR a few hours later.

3 out of 5 stars First successfult lead of the year

Good confidence builder to get the head back into the game. The start can be a little hairy due to the severely uneven ground below.

3 out of 5 stars V2 to first bolt

Got spit off repeatedly pre first clip. After stick clipping the first bolt I was able to climb past and finish the rest of the route with takes after bolts 2 and 3.

4 out of 5 stars Fun Slab

The route starts off on a nice face climb and transitions to nice slab. Fairly straight forward which allows for quick climbing (nice when hot out).

4 out of 5 stars First Smith lead

This is a great route to start off a day of climbing. I noticed that like many routes at Smith the crux of the route is getting to the first bolt. Beyond the first clip, there are plenty of knobs making the rest of the route fairly easy.

4 out of 5 stars Still can't find 'em

Second time I've climbed this route in 2 months and I still had a hard time locating the bolts. Also climbed Straw Man and found it to be an easier 5.8.
