3 out of 5 stars My first trad lead

It's a very short climb. ~40 ft I think. It was interesting being my first lead though. There is a large crack in the beginning that I couldn't place a good piece of gear for the life of me. The rest I felt took a bunch of stoppers very easily. It was much harder than I would've liked for my first trad lead, but I managed.

Good area near the top to set up an anchor. Walk off to the right and back around to the base of the climb.

I lost a new metolius carabiner here somewhere...it's a safe one if you find it!

4 out of 5 stars First Multi-Pitch - 5.8 direct added some difficulty

Very nice 1st pitch belay station...Great place to eat a lunch even (life lined in your anchor of course). Being my first multi-pitch belay station I guess it spoiled me. Haven't been climbing long...it was an easy route, but a lot of fun nonetheless. The 5.8 direct...I climbed mostly in the Austin, Texas area where this would be more like a 5.10 direct...rating systems change so much! The rest of the climb probabaly would've been a 5.7 at least too. Anyway...I actually took the face directly beside the off-width on the left...basically on the off-width, just not touching the right side. Couldn't figure out how to climb the off width, so had to go that route...still some difficultly as far as I'm concerned.

4 out of 5 stars Great long sport climb - two 60m ropes required

I was just told there is a little surprise after the face...indeed it was for the inexperienced slab climber. First climb with the new shoes = slippage fest. It was a fun route for sure and would like to do it again.
