3 out of 5 stars short and balancy face

I RP-ed Al Hussein, 5.11a B1 face variation. (B2 var. is the 5.10d lieback.) Very short and bouldery but fun. My first RP of a 5.11a.
BTW, the rock is called Platypus, not Western Addition. Western Addition includes 3 rocks: Platypus, Shady Rock, and Chew Tooth, all close to each other. See Rock Climber's Guide To Skyline Boulevard by Bruce Morris.

4 out of 5 stars nice crack

The route can be climbed in multiple ways - straight (mostly) hand jam, stem, left hand/fingers in the left parallel crack.

4 out of 5 stars Clean crack

Clean and nice. If it weren't so short I would give it 5 stars.

5 out of 5 stars Nice intro to 5.9

The whole route is enjoyable, the only thing about
"commitment" seemed to be that you do not know what holds you will use above the roof but it's there and not very hard and the pro in the roof just before the move is great. Finish the 5.9 right variation - good pro and not hard either. (I led the 1st and 3rd pitches.)

4 out of 5 stars Good 10a slab intro

Nice face climbing, mostly on knobs. Well bolted, I placed two bomber blue aliens where the supertopo says "improbable small nut placement".

5 out of 5 stars Golden polished face / slab route

My first 5.9 slab/face lead at Tuolumne. The same wall as Shagadelic and Excellent, Smithers but the rock is more slippery. Great experience.

4 out of 5 stars Intro to 5.10a slab

5.10a cruxes on both pitches are well protected by bolts just before the cruxes. The 5.10a in corner/crack felt easier than 5.10a. Small cams (black, blue aliens), a bit bigger higher up. I led the 1st 5.10a pitch.
