My personal favorite of the three on this face that shares the common anchor. Very balancy moves on the lower half.

Very enjoyable, easily protected trad route. Lives up to it's name when selecting what gear to place. Anchors are awkward to reach, I swing right at loose block and place a cam before reaching over to clip the anchor.

Fun, well protected corner system. Good warm up to the 10a route to the left.

Opening moves on polished limestone and sharp edges, then it's over in three bolts. I found this route to be much harder than link-up.

Very enjoyable route to the top of Elk. Bring up your belayer to the first ledge where you can sink your biggest hex to protect you on the traverse to the first pocket. Protection is primarily in the cracks above, so long slings help reduce rope drag. There is a nice dike below the anchors to stand and bring your second up, or rap down to Grandma's Porch to do the other routes on the Southwest face.

I recommend the harder variations, though the pitch 5 hand crack kicked my butt. Very good quality rock, with an awesome view. Used 2 ropes for the descent.

Used 3 days for summit attempt because of distance, terrain, and to allow for weather.
