the Start is awkward. The route takes big gear! Like, #5 Cassin Cancam big.

THe cracks tend to flare, but are rough inside and will take gear well. there is a flake around the arrette that looks very sketchy, though it feels solid when pulled on by hand. balance is key coming back around the arrette to the slab. there is an area of runout about 2/3rds of the way up.

positive easy bouldering, great beginners face, not too high, plenty of positive holds, but you have to do a bit of - easy- route finding because the face is a jumble of embedded quartz nodules. eliminete routes are definitely doable to artificially steepen the grades.

An exciting TR, but dangerous lead. crux move is within 3 moves of the start, and isn't protectable with anything good. A lead fall means striking the table boulder, at least.

leading this route was super exciting, and super scary, especially commiting to the pull over the roof, even though the gear was bomber. the following weekend, I fell from that move, twice, because of a dirty sidepull that I slipped off just above the roof.

this is a good route for a beginning leader like me. High and steep enough to challenge the mind - as in fear management - but able to be sewn right up. defintely NOT a slabby walk up. you have to climb it. the most dangerous part is at the bottom, because of the proximity of a large table boulder, but the most difficult move (crux) is about 2/3rds of the way up.

there's a BIG crack behind anice thick flack that protects the bottom really well, but it took my biggest tricam (#5) easily, and a bit of fiddling to get a solid placement. a bigger piece of gear would have been better.

Probably the longest trad route at the Quarries, topping at the higest point there. It's a nice lead, takes plenty of gear...For me the crux was going up the dihedral section and my right leg started elvis-ing while I was playing around with gear...I had to bail on a couple placements and run it out to a better stance.

the route I took actually combines sections of the H face routes "BLocks", "The Cave", and "Little Inch".
