Maybe next time...
Wasn't feeling too perky at this point in the day so I decided to go TR. One hung it at the crux, seemed tough for a 10c.

Favorite Reimer's route so far... (of 20).
Put this under Detour at first, but think I am doing direct.
I'll give it a PG13 for the 'approach' to the first bolt. You only realize how steep it is once you lower.
I blew out my forearms deciding what to do over the roof so I hung on the third bolt. (I sort of had negative beta.) I soldiered on, not fully recovered, and gave out again just before the anchors.
Update: Second time was charmed. Got the red point two weeks later on next attempt.
5 bolts; 2 'sport' anchors.

Peter made me do it.
One of those climbs that hurts your feet in tight shoes. I had to take them off at the top to build an anchor for the Mrs. then TR'd to clean.

As fun as it looks?
Fell on the onsight attempt going what looked like the easy way, but wasn't. Got the redpoint on the second try.

Barely.
At 5'9" I was barely able to clip the first bolt without commiting to the climb; so, shorter climbers may want to stick clip. Glad I took advantage of the no hands rest before pulling the roof. I desperately hung my third draw while gastoning in the thin crack... I decided I needed something better before pulling rope... I was missing the nice fat left-hand gaston right in front of my face.
Harder than 'Go for the Jugular', I think.

Don't be too scared of the runout.
We skipped this on our first trip to this wall due to the runout to the second bolt, but since there was not much else to warm up on I decided it didn't look that bad. While you may fall just above the first bolt you are not likely to fall just under the second... if you do, you will deck.
Glad I decided to wear my 'performance' shoes on this one, instead of my 'comfort' shoes.

Oh... 5.10b?
Well, I did not have any trouble with the onsight setting up an anchor, but I was not too relaxed for the second TR send to clean for some reason.
I took my time figuring out the somewhat difficult start and found a couple of the key moves a bit reachy. Maybe that is what makes it a 10b?

Best 5.8 I have ever climbed.
Ever so slightly overhanging somewhat pumpy jug haul. One of the few onsights I have enjoyed.
Can be identified by the little brass placard screwed into the wall.

Let's say "Decent" show on Earth.
Wanted a good easy warm up, but I got flash pumped on this route.
I would lean more toward describing the holds on this route as slopers than I would jugs though they are really neither. I much preferred African Herbman...those holds I would call jugs.
