4 out of 5 stars Good granite climbing, great alpine experience

A great alpine climb with 5 short pitches of technical climbing near the beginning, and really fun advanced scrambling (4th to low 5th class) for another ~1000 feet up the ridge. I found it most enjoyable to stay on the solid rock of the ridge crest--I recommend avoiding the loose gulleys/ledges to the sides as much as seems reasonable.

5 out of 5 stars Take your boss to the mountains day!

My boss wanted to climb this route as his first technical alpine rock climb. We had a great time, despite the late season approach/deproach issues. We descended back down the route for the sake of simplicity.

3 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Gained Buttress via Rock On route.

Full ropelength up slabs, then continued via simulclimbing to the base of the .10c fingers pitch which I got to lead. Awesome no hands chimney rest right below the crux!

4 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Led my share of pitches including the crux pitch. Took one fall at the crux onto a purple DMM. Got it clean on the second try. Route was shorter than I was expecting.

Route is also rated 5.10d depending on source.

3 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Followed the bolt ladder and mantle pitches. But I got to lead the nice thin crack section out onto the East Face, sweet exposure.

4 out of 5 stars don't miss it

Good clean trad climbing with lots of jugs and resting places, and the pro is pro-fuse. Can barely rap off (but not lower) with a single 60 meter rope if you are careful.
