As I know, trad climbing emphasizes the adventure aspect of rock climbing even if the route is easy and bolted. "Route finding, effective gear placements, self control, and good down-climbing skills are essential" (from wikipedia). Those aspects were find in that route.

Well, is the Snake Dike route a sport climbing as we can find several bolts on it? In my opnion it is also a Trad climbing, isnīt?

I would definitely call a multi-pitch route like this one "Trad", even if it's all bolted. I might be wrong, but I think the term "Traditional" has basically two meanings:
1-Longer routes, where skills like orientation, self control, planning and endurance are required.
2-Routes where all protecions are placed (no bolts), like the english ethics of climbing.

A trad route means you have to place your own gear for the "majority" of the route. A sport route means you are clipping bolts for the whole route. If this route is only protected by bolts then it is a 4 pitch sport climb. Another way to look at it is like this, if your rack consists of cams and stoppers then it's a trad route. If your rack is all quickdraws then it's a sport climb.

Details, people. Do you really need to be so nitpicky? This climb is still in the spirit of a traditional route regardless of protection.

Ya I think that was sport. Trad is placing your own gear. But thats just what I think.
