Actually, he is leading; he just didn't feel the need to place any gear for the first 2/3rds of the pitch!

WINDY! The title is misleading...he is not "soloing" if he placed gear....2/3rds or not.

i guess time2clmb is right but not 100% right, just like he is not soloing 100% :). One still needs a strong mind to go up 2/3rds without protection. Unless the climb is 10 feet high or so ;)

I have heard that crux pitch is serious and scary! Props to you, Mike, esp. with the heinous wind. I need to get on that route!
