Started climbing in 1986 and was immediately hooked. Nothing I had ever done (and I did some stuff...) even came close to the experience. There were very few climbers where I came from (NW Arkansas) in the mid-80's, and we were a close-knit group. I did my first lead soon after I started climbing, and then that was all I wanted to do (didn't like following...). Did a number of first ascents (another passion) back then. Now-a-days, I'm content just to have an enjoyable outing on moderate, preferably long routes. I experienced some hiatuses due to injuries. I took a leader fall back in '88 and was seriously injured, but it was the lateral epicondylitis that really grounded me.
I also enjoy playing guitar, hiking, and Yoga.
