Pulleys are available in all shapes and sizes, from basic rescue pulleys to complex designed pulleys with intergrated rope grab mechanisms. Pulleys can be used for transporting or hauling gear, rescue situations, back up’s when abseiling or to isolate the rope from yourself if your partner falls down when crossing glaciers. Pulleys are already easy to use, you can open one side where the rope will pass through, and they can be connected to an anchor via a carabiner.
