Superblue Finished Hinged Crampons

Using a simple, efficient design, our crampons will reliably fit any boot - from stiff-soled leather to rigid plastics, with or without over boots. They have been designed with a horizontal frame to resist snow balling up underneath your foot. The hinge has been carefully located to add extra stiffness at the instep, keeping more points in contact with the climbing surface. Traverse points at the instep and rear of the crampon give added security on downhill travel. Manufactured from the finest quality chrome-moly steel, SMC Crampons are made to take the abuse which all crampons must endure.

Each pair of SMC Crampons comes with stainless steel heel wires attached to the rear section to keep narrow heeled boots in place. Five screws and a hex key wrench are included for assembly. SMC Crampons are finished with a gunmetal "superblue" paint.
