Travel to the top of lofty summits with the lightweight, trusty REI Yeti ice axe. Head is designed to fit comfortably in your hand during long mountaineering adventures. Full-size chromoly-steel head and spike drive securely into ice when arresting. Steel head and aluminum shaft are balanced to offer a great swing weight. Weights are as follows: 60cm is 448g 65cm is 470g 70cm is 488g 75cm is 502g 80cm is 514g.

This is my first axe and so far I'm happy with it. It's light and it seems to hold very well. Taken to the Adirondacks for a mountaineering intro class and a few other climbs. Also, It's very handy for scrambling in Pa rocky mountains.
