I love this pack and use it for everything from trad climbing to fast packing and even the occasional ultralight overnight. I bought this mainly because I needed extra volume to accommodate camera gear when I go climbing and hiking. Because it's so huge you really need the optional "strapettes" shoulder straps in order to balance the weight if you are going to make full use of the 1100 ci volume. With these the pack will handle a very heavy load while still being extremely comfortable.
A full water bottle can get ejected from the mesh side pockets (hanging upside down doesn't help), so I use the elastic cord that tightens the mesh and flip it over the bottle lid to hold it firmly in place.
